"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." Colossians 3:23
A made bed doesn't seem spiritual. A hot breakfast feels ordinary.
But at Subuco, we believe hospitality is frontline ministry.
3 Things We've Learned Making Beds and Serving Coffee:
1. Details Preach
A guest once told us, "I knew God cared about me when I saw the Bible and handwritten note in my room." Clean towels say, "You're valued." That's the gospel in cotton.
2. Peace Is a Service
When wifi works, when the generator kicks in silently, when check-in takes 3 minutes, you remove obstacles between a person and rest. Rest makes room for God to speak.
3. Every Guest Is a Ministry Assignment
We don't know why someone books a room. Grief? Ministry burnout? A business deal? We treat each check-in like a divine appointment. Sometimes we just make coffee. Sometimes we get to pray. Both matter.
An Invitation
Next time you stay with us, look for the small ways God might be serving you through our team. And if you're in hospitality too, remember: your work is holy.
"Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2
